Makeup Storage and Organisation

If you know me than you know that I am a total organisation freak and if something is out of place I am not happy! Recently I have not been very happy with the layout of my makeup so I started a little hunt to find the perfect organiser. First I went on to Muji as I totally adore the acrylic storage that they have but once I seen the price tag it was a totally different ball game, if you did not know I am a student, I have not got a job and christmas and birthday money has to last me a whole year so unfortunately I wouldn't be able to afford Muji storage. I then went and searched on Google "Cheap UK Makeup Storage" and barely anything relevant came up (one of the main reasons why I am doing this post), I did find one blog that mentioned storage at WHSmith (sorry I can't remember the name of it) so I went on to the website and set my eyes on a six drawer storage system Here and I knew that was the exact one that I was looking for.

Before I show any pictures of my storage I will do the same as anyone else who does these types of post I am not trying to brag, honestly I don't even feel that I have that much makeup especially since the fact that most of it is drugstore and all the makeup I have I am grateful for. Obviously there is not much point in me showing my storage with nothing in it so that is why I kept all of my makeup in the unit. Now on to the actual storage.

Here is an overview of my storage. It fits perfectly on top of my little cabinet.

On top of my storage I keep my palettes, brushes, tools and my mirror I like the way there is still some place on top to place some of my products when I am getting ready in the mornings.

In the top row of the unit there is three shallow drawers which in the left one I keep my blushes and highlighters, the middle I keep my powders and bronzers and in the right lip balms and tinted lip balms and in the back some eye cream spot gel and blotting paper.

In the second row there is two much deeper drawers and in the left one I keep all of my face products; primers, foundations, BB creams and concealers. Int the right drawer I keep my lip liners, Lipsticks and Lipglosses.

In the very last drawer is my eye drawer in here I keep; smaller quads of eyeshadows, eye and brow pencils, mascaras and eye shadow bases and pencils.

I am very happy with my storage and I hope this may of helped you if you are in the same boat as me or if you would just like some very pretty storage.

Topshop Highlighter- Review

Hey Everyone,
Today I am going to do a review on my new Topshop Highlighter. First of all I absolutely love the packaging of the highlighter along with all the rest of the Topshop cosmetics as I find it is plain and simple but still eye-catching and pretty to look at.

The highlighter itself is in the shade Crescent Moon which is a light creamy shimmery colour. One thing that is for certain is when you are using this colour a little definitely goes a long way, because if you use too much I'm sure you will reflect light like a mirror on your cheek bones!

This product is great for accentuating your cheekbones and gives your face a little more shape along with leaving you with a silky sheen. I personally highly recommend this product as I feel it has as good of quality as a high end highlighter.

I am sorry I could not take swatches as my camera was not working properly that day, if you want I can take some and put them into another post some other day.

My Everyday/ School Makeup

Hey Everyone,
Today I have decided to show you what make-up I use on a normal lazy day or when I am rushing to catch my bus to school.
I like to keep my make-up quite natural especially when I am at school so just to let you know there will be no mad colours here.

#1
First I like to start off with my base. I like to use the Catrice Cosmetics BB cream as it is one of the best BB creams I have tried yet.

#2
I then like to conceal over any blemishes i may have with the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in shade 1.

#3
I like to give my eyes a little bit of colour so I apply the essence I <3 Stage Eye-shadow base which leaves a great nude colour on your lids.

#4
I like to fill in my brows with the Maybelline master shape brow pencil in shade Dark Blonde.

#5
I sometimes like to run across my top waterline to give more definition to my lashes with the essence long lasting eye pencil in shade 20 Hot Chocolate.

#6
After I curl my eyelashes instead of using a mascara I use the collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner in shade Black to lightly sweep onto my eyelashes the same way you use a mascara. I fell this gives a more natural look.

#7
I like to set my face using the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in shade 006 warm Beige.

#8
Finally I like to use something like the MUA Kiss You Lip Polish in Niall Loves Cherry or Maybelline colour Sensational Popstick in shade 060 Citrus Slice to give a sweep of colour on my lips.

I hope you liked my blog post today. I may do a tutorial on this make up I still need to decide. Don't forget to follow my blog on Bloglovin to see my next posts.

My Make up- Night-time Edition

Hey Everyone,
Last Friday night I went to a local disco with my friends and while I was looking through my photos I noticed that it would make a great blog post to tell you what make up I used. I kept my make up quite neutral I didn't want to go too dramatic so I went for a slightly smoked eye and a pink lip.

To start off I primed my face with Catrice Cosmetics Prime and Fine face Primer.

I then used a mixture of Rimmel stay matte foundation in 300 and Rimmel lasting finish foundation in 200.

Then to cover up any blemishes or under-eye circles I used my collection Lasting Perfection concealer.

Once my base was finished I covered my whole eyelid in collection work the colour eye shadow pencil. Review
I then layered some Organza (left) all over my eyelid and then put Gift Basket (right) in my crease
both from the Sleek Oh So Special Palette.

I used my Collection gel eye-liner to line my lash line and water line.

Once I curled my eyelashes I put some Maybelline Rocket volume Express mascara.

I then filled in my eyebrows with my Maybelline master shape brow pencil.

Then I set them with the lighter shade in my essence eyebrow stylist set.

I then contoured my cheek bones with my MUA pressed powder in Shade 4.

I bronzed my skin with my Essence bronzing compact powder in 01 Bronzing queen.

I put some pink back into my cheeks with my Essence silky touch blush in 20 babydoll.

I would then set my face with my Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder in 006 warm beige.

To lightly line my lips I used No7 precision lip pencil in plum.

I then covered my whole lip area with my Rimmel lipstick in 006 pink blush.

Finally I coated my lips in a Barry M lip gloss and away I went.

Review - MUA Lipsticks

Hey Everyone,
Today I thought I would do a review on some lipsticks I have recently purchased which are from the brand MUA.
I Have two shades which are number 16 and number 13. Shade 13 is a orange under toned red colour and shade 16 is a bright coral orange pink colour. When you are applying the lipstick you would be better to not have dry patches on your lips as it would come out stronger on the dry parts of your lips than the moisturised parts.
One thing about the lipsticks is that you can definitely build the colour of them by adding another layer of the colour each time. The lipsticks have quite a long staying power which is great. Both colours have nice finishes to them as they are not too shiny or not too matt.
There is also a little screw off pot at the bottom of the lipsticks which I like to use when I am using a lip brush.
One of the most shocking things which I love about the lipsticks is that they are only £1 each which I think is great for the quality of them.
Overall I think these products are great especially for the price of them and for the quality of them.
