New Years Eve Nails

Hey Everyone,
I thought I should tell you what I am wearing on my nails today as it is New Years Eve.
As a base coat I used on layer of the Maybelline Color Show nail polish in the shade 352 Downtown Red as is is very opaque and then put a layer of Essence Colour and Go nail polish in the shade it actually has no shade but it is a sparkly red purple colour on top.
I love this nail combination as I think it is very festive and fun.
What will you be doing tonight? I will be going to watch some fireworks and definitely watching the movie New Years Eve.
Happy New Year and here is to 2014

New Phone Covers

Hi Everyone,
My Main Christmas Present this year was my new phone (Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini) from my Mother and Father and because it is so new, lovely and clean I thought I best get a cover for it. So whilst I was scrolling through "Vintage phone covers" on Ebay, I came across some beautiful vintage inspired phone covers and I wanted to buy them all. I gradually narrowed it down to two as they were only £2.90 each and so I ordered them. Today the arrived in the post and I absolutely love them, I definitely want to get some more of them in the future. when they arrived I was very pleased with the packaging and to my surprise the covers came with screen protectors and a little cloth each as i was going to go and buy some screen protectors aswell as I don't want my screen to get destroyed with scratches and dirt. I am very pleased with my phone covers and i thought I should share them with you as I know sometimes it can be hard to find good sellers on Ebay or pretty Phone cases for that fact.

Makeup Brush Holder- DIY

Hi Everyone,
A while back I done a quick little post on a glade candle that I had bought here which smelt utterly delicious and i will have to stock up on some before they go off the shelves as they are only limited edition. But anyhow the other day the wick burnt out and I thought the container was too pretty to trow out so i decided to turn it into a brush holder.
To get the leftover wax out of the jar i put some cling film over the opening and put it in the freezer as this would make it less sticky and easier to crack apart. when I took it out of the freezer i just jabbed a knife into the wax and it gradually cracked into pieces. once your empty the remaining wax out all that is left is the metal part of the wick which was glued to the bottom so I got some hot water from the kettle poured it into the jar, swirled it around a few times and then using the same knife picked it off the bottom. i was then left with a clean jar.

The other day I was in a local home store when I came across little packs of star plant fillers, they were for half price as it was the christmas sale so I picked up two packs to put in my jar as i can never find plant filler ever.

So when I got home I filled up my jar and jabbed in my Makeup brushes and voilá I have a spanking new brush holder which was as cheap as chips.

I Hope you liked this DIY and you try it out at home!

The Dainty Little Tin

Hi Everyone,
As part of my Christmas present my sister got me this beautiful tin which I thought I should share with you. If you know me I love everything vintage and I have started a little collection of jars and tins (when i say little i mean getting out of control) and when I opened the wrapping paper I instantly fell in love with it. I love the shabby chic style of it and though I have not yet found a use for it soon it will have its own home in my bedroom.

The Tin is available to buy in Avoca stores

Shortbread Biscuits

Hey Everyone,
The other day I decided to make some shortbread biscuits so I flicked through some recipe books and found a great recipe which is Truly Scrumptious so I decided to share it with you so lets get started.

Ingredients:
100g Margarine
150g Plain Flour
50g Caster Sugar

1. Turn your oven on to 150 degrees Celsius or gas mark 3 to preheat.
2.Dollop your margarine into the bowl. I like to mix it around to make sure it it smooth.
3. Add in the rest of the ingredients and mix together. when your dough starts to form take out your spoon and start to knead it with your hands until it forms a ball with no residue left in the bowl.
4. Sprinkle your work surface and your rolling pin with a little flour and roll out your dough.
5.Once your dough is evenly spread out cut into shapes either with cutters or free hand with a knife
6.place your biscuits on a tray that is lightly greased or has some greaseproof paper on it.
7. Bake for 10- 15 minutes don't let the burn, only let them slightly golden.
8. Place biscuits on cooling rack and sprinkle with caster sugar

I hope you like this simple recipe and you try it out at home you could also add some dried fruit or chocolate chips to the recipe to spice it up. Don't forget to send me pictures on Twitter and Instagram of your creations.

Review- Little Mix Perrie Lipstick

Hi Everyone,
Recently my favourite lipstick has been the Little Mix for Collection Lipstick in the shade Perrie's lipstick. I thought I should give you the run-down on it and why I love it so much. I bought this lipstick because to start off with my favourite girl from little mix is Perrie and also because I found that the lipstick was such a strange colour that I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it.

The packaging of the lipstick is a sleek black with turquoise trimmings with a flower sticker placed on the front to show that it is Perrie's shade.I have not yet found any problems with the packaging which is great as i have had it for a while now. The actual shade of the lipstick is a bright purple lipstick with a slight more to the blue undertone, it applies very smoothly and has a long staying power. I really like this lipstick and I think it would suit everyone especially blondes as is it such a bright colour. When I am wearing this lipstick I like to wear quite a natural eye look keeping it quite nude so that it will focus on the lips. I hoped you liked this blog post!

I Have Extended My Blog!

Hey Everyone,
You may be wondering what on earth does she mean by "extending her blog" but recently I have noticed my blog has been quite boring, so after a little bit of brainstorming I have decided to branch it out a bit and open up some doors. One thing I love doing so much is Baking and over the past while I haven't had time to do much baking as I have been very busy, but since it is getting closer to Christmas I have started to do a little more baking at home. I have decided to start featuring different blog posts every so often on my blog and letting you into some of my favourite recipes. I hope you like my new idea and I can't wait to see how it comes along!
