Vintage Things!

Hey Everyone,
Today I have decided that I am going to show you different things I have added to my room to give it a more vintage feel because as you know I love everything vintage or vintage inspired.

The First thing which I have which I think has a bit of a vintage feel of it is my hairdressing head, I bought this a few years ago to try different hairstyles on and I think it is a really handy thing to have. I have done a vintage inspired look in it right now while i am not using it so it would blend in with the theme.

I really love this little piece of wall art which I fell in love with as soon as I saw it, I think it it really cute and it was a bargain!

The next thing you may of seen before in my summer look book which is my loved mannequin I got this for my birthday and I love it. I actually made the skirt that is on it which I am very proud of  because it looks like something you would buy in a shop. I love my Cath Kidston laptop bag so much that I keep it on my mannequin at all times unless I am using it!

The next thing i have would have to be my favourite thing in my room and the thing which I am most proud of and it is my purple chair. When i first got this chair it was a deep pine and was busted but I fixed it up and I painted it a really cute purple colour. I got the inspiration for this from one of my favourite T.V shows Kirstie's Vintage Home. On my chair I have a pillow which I can remember having since I was a child and I love it, hidden behind that is my baby blanket which means a lot to me.

If you do not know already I like to be organised and a way to incorporate organisation into vintage is to use JARS, lets just say I love pots and jars.

the next thing I have is a photo frame which used to be hot pink but I decided to just save my money and paint it the same colour as my chair. This has just got some old photos of me and my family in them.

The next thing which I have hung around my mirror are heart fairy lights which are battery operated which is great and I think they are so cute.

The next thing I love to rave on about and they are Yankee candles I just think the are great and they give off such an nice smell and in the vintage era I guess some people would of used candles as a form of light.

The next thing I have is my pin board which I recovered with the same fabric that I made my skirt out of and some red ribbon. I love my pin board because it holds so many of my beloved memories.

I love my lampshade, I think it is very vintage themed with the butterfly's and the cream colour.

The next lovely vintage thing is my bed. My duvet cover is once again Cath Kidston. I am not too sure where I got all of my cushions but if you don't already realise I made the two cream cushions at the back out of the same material as the skirt and the pin board.

The next thing that I think is quite vintage is my wall clock, I really like the floral design on it and it always seems to keep me on time!

The last and final thing that I think has some vintage in it is my bedside table. I really like my little birdcage and my friend Maeve actually gave me the picture frame with the collage in it a few years back which I love!
My box of tissues even has a vintage theme to it.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and i hope you get some inspiration from it. If you have any questions leave them as a comment below.

My Top 10 Things For Autumn/Fall!

Hey Everyone, Today I am going to tell you my top ten things for Autumn or fall if you live in America. I thinks these ten things are some of the most vital things you need when you are transitioning from Summer to Autumn.
Lets get started!:

1. My first thing is hats they can be knitted or beanies but they are great, they add a nice touch to your outfit and they keep your little head nice and warm they are also great if you are having a bad hair day or if you wake up late and don't have time to wash your hair you can just pull on a hat and no one will notice! (Though I do recommend that this may only be a one off and you should try to keep yourself as clean as possible)

2. My second item on my list would have to be Lip Balm as for the fact that the weather is getting colder and lips are getting chappier which means we need to keep them moisturised I personally like something with a bit of a tint so I recommend the Maybelline Baby Lips as they have a great colour and are very moisturising!

3. My third essential would have to be cosy jumpers because the are so warm and you can just pull the over leggings or over some of your summer dresses!

4. My fourth thing on my list would have to be a good face moisturiser. I have noticed recently my face has dry skin patches on it so I have been putting some Clean and Clear dual action moisturiser on which is helping a lot!

5. My fifth item would have to be tights this may sound strange but we have to face the facts the weather is getting colder and we won't be able to go out bear legged for the whole Autumn/Winter.

6. My sixth item would have to be a nose balm you may be like wha? But if you have the cold like me and you are constantly using tissues to blow your nose and it is getting all aired this will be your saviour. I have been using one by Kleenex which I bought in a grocery store.

7. My seventh item is some Autumn/Winter Boots these will look great with your woollies and will keep your little toes warm through the cold weather. These are my two favourite pairs the black ones are from Newlook and the brown ones are from Lotus.

8. My eight item is a great smelling perfume to spray all over yourself so that you always are smelling great!
My Favourite perfume right now is One Direction Our Moment which I have done a review on, Perfume Review.

9. My ninth items are some candles to make your room smell nice and cosy. My two yankee candles are cinnamon stick and Lake Sunset which my friend Maeve's blog post inspired me to buy. http://mcmanusmaeve.blogspot.co.uk/2013/08/candles.html

10. My tenth and final item to have during the Autumn and Winter is some form of a camera if it is either a actual camera or just your phone a camera is great to have to take some random pics here and there with your friends and family to have as memories of your Autumn/Winter 2013!
My camera is a Kodak EasyShare C143.

Review - One Direction Our Moment Perfume

Hey Everyone,
Today I am going to do a review on one of my most recent purchases which is One Direction's new perfume Our Moment. Lets just say as soon as I heard one direction would be having there own perfume I knew I would have to buy it so as soon as it came out..... I did.

I am so happy I actually decided to spend this money because it was such a good investment!
Before I start lets just say I am not the best at describing fragrances so it might be a bit crappy, sorry I will try my best.
When I first saw that the perfume had launched in a local perfume shop and as soon as I smelled it I knew I wanted to buy it but I waited to see if it would last the whole day and surprisingly it did last until the night and it smelled as good as when I had first sprayed it. This is when I knew I wanted to buy it, so last Sunday I was going by Debenhams and I saw they had it in stock so what do you know I bought it and I am so happy I did because I love it.

I really like the packaging of the perfume but the problem is it is still new so it is a bit hard to take the lid off otherwise it is great.

The perfume smells floral and flirty but still has a bit of a musky kind of tinge of it so it is a great all rounder perfume and lots of people have asked me what am I wearing because it smells so good. I am actually surprised that I have not wasted all of the perfume already spraying it on myself because I love it soo much.

Overall I love this perfume and I would recommend it to everybody as it is surely worth its money and I know you will love it as much as I do!
